Jason bought a little notebook.
At the top of each page, he put the name of every person or company he contacted on his job search.
Under each name he put the date of their contact along with any information or updates.
Every time he contacted the same person or company, he added the new date along with any new information below.
At the back of the book he added any other useful contact numbers, websites, career resources and the like.
Fast forward to the best bit…
Jason’s new job came from a page in his little black book.
Now is that a coincidence or what?
An idea so simple. A tool that just works.
With something this simple, you can change things around and do it your way.
For instance, instead of a book I like to use the Address Book on my laptop & mobile.
The method and the contents can be as individual as you.
After all, no two black books and no two job searches are the same.
