Applying Great Questions to Your Career

I read today that the great German philosopher Immanuel Kant said life’s three great questions are:

What ought I do?
What can I do?
What can I hope for?

As I thought more about these questions I realised how important they are in our relationship with work.

The Career Explorer’s Journal is essentially about applying these three great questions to our individual careers.

Our Values give us a firm foundation to explore the question ‘What ought I do?’
Our Talents help us bring the question ‘What can I do?’ to life
Our Goals offer us a clear picture as we ask ourselves ‘What can I hope for?’

If you can think about answering these three questions the impact on your career would be enormous.

And the longer you think about them, the better your answers will get.

Looks like a serious thinker to me!
